L4 Works Towards Legislation for Safer Schools

Kentucky currently is making progress in school safety with the School Security and Resiliency Act (SB1-2019), but still lacks SROs. Currently, more than 80% of U.S. public schools report that the pandemic has negatively impacted student behavior. Studies prove that school climate and safety directly impact a student's academic performance.

Regional Director Phil Feigel recently spoke on a panel about the state of school security with Kentucky Rep. Jason Nemes (R), Moderated by Kentucky Sen. Lindsey Tichenor (R). Feigel discussed the advantages of making L4 Security an option for public schools that are having difficulty complying with the Act.
